thanks

so i just spent some good ole fashion hang out time with friends this weekend. it was a good time. i played some baseball, kickball, volleyball, cornhole, cards, mario kart. i lost in mario kart and one game of cornhole. next time. dun dun dun.

i'm ready for a country that doesn't spy on me.

roommates. interesting situations. i'm learning more and more.

so my religious stance on facebook is: I believe in Love

what do i understand that to be is something i've been wrestling with. well, for one it does not mean agreement. i have found that love is not agreeing on something, but instead means that it is something that each side is willing to either work through, or overcome. work through would be something like going to couples counciling, whereas to overcome is more about forgiveness.

i understand that this world is a world full of pain. i do not want to belittle it, and as such, i don't think that i can explain pain in words. pain comes from an elemental sin, lies. it is ugly, decrepet, and hard as a diamond. it cuts, and leaves scars. rivers of tears feed oceans. broken hearts need time and love to heal. we only wish pain on our enemies because it is the only way to leave feeling like we've won after defeat. pain is the cause of sadness. sadness can not cause pain, because it is a lesser emotion. we can look at pain as being a foundation upon which other emotions grow, such as hate, disbelief, envy, lust, pride.

but love is a light. it gives heat. it takes energy to burn. it is something to look upon, and people are drawn to the light. from light, guidance is given. it gives a point of reference. it radiates in all directions. put love on a hill, and it's influence will be felt to numerous men and women. it will be difficult to hide from.

i try not to let my words say more than i mean, and each word is thought through. some may look at this slight wording and brush past it, thats okay. it's not for you. go listen to your pastors with 3 points in a half hour, whose public speaking skills are more important than what they actually say. listen to your politicians who invent words to scare you into being their disciples. just go away. these ideas were the effort of thought not usually found in your hallways or at the dinner table. go away.
