4 years and running

so tonight on my run, i got sick. well, within the 1st quarter mile i got sick. nothing felt good. my calves were tight, i was running slowly, my gut felt really full, i was bouncing a lot. it just was nasty. but i had decided that i was going to run 5 miles tonight. it was the longest, hardest 5 miles i've run in a while.

within the 1st mile, i started to feel nauseous. all that food that was sitting in my stomach was coming back for round two. i was not excited. i didn't want to throw up, it's just one of those things i don't do. i know i haven't thrown up in college, and i can't remember doing it in high school, but i'm sure i did. anyway, i just don't like to do it.

got to my halfway point, and didn't even stop, just turned around and kept running. probably a bad idea, but i did it anyway. well, i got into the last mile and i just couldn't run without a lot of physical pain. if was running at a varsity level, i wouldn't have stopped, but i wasn't. i'm running to get in shape and to kick your ass in the next 5K i enter.

so i decided to walk for 1 block. give me a break, k? k. so for this one block that i walked, which was uphill (i ain't no dummy), i honestly feel asleep walking up this hill. i closed my eyes and stayed close to the curb and let my mind go cause i didn't want to run anymore.

but after that hill, i started again and i felt really good about it. my movements were really smooth and my legs floated a little bit. plus i love running by PM at around midnight putting down about a 7 minute mile pace. that's right fatties, eat your grease buckets and drink those mixers, i'm looking better than you and you know it.

Dominated the pavement.
