what does pigeon, pj, jiggy john bring to the table that makes you want to line up?
well, i enjoy the way he is off-the-cuff flippant about life. For example, in his song 'Emily', he talks about a situation that the dad left his woman because he didn't want to deal with the responsiblities of dealing with a family at the young age of 20. now, for the conservative crowd, i understand there are a lot to things that are not good examples to follow. However, i look at the way he addresses things like this. It is obviously a serious subject, and he isn't care-free about it, but he does it in such a way that there isn't this "you better live your life this way" type of feeling about the song.
i would have to say the i really grew into a big PJ fan when he released "sings the blues" This cd is a great cd about his struggles, and it shows you that it isn't all just fun and silly little beats whinning about money or whatever it is.
Upside down Rotten: This song breaks your face with some great introducing. It tells you why you want to meet him. and you DO! Now!
Nothing without you: This is a song that starts out as a love song to his wife, something that really is touching and demonstrates how much he loves her. The last verse is a song to his Savior. Think about it
Perfect Formality: This is his little hate song to the music industry. Very tongue in cheek. I enjoy this song a little too much sometimes.
She Cooks me Oatmeal!: Another song to his wife. He is a little over the top with this song, but I find it all fun and want more. Like you do to!
Sleeping Giants: Now the record industry responds. The way he looks at the way the industry is moving and how he feels like it isn't the way he is supposed to go.
Matter 101: This is my song.
You Can't Have It: This is a song to other rappers. He has some used insults, it is my least favorite off the cd.
The Grand Ol' Waltz: His society song. It has the waltz 3-beat to it, something I enjoy. It is sad, and happy. Like the last dance of a night, then you must say good-bye to your girlfriend for the night.
Life Goes On: A remix of a song from his "dating" cd. Another sad, dark song.

Identity Crises: A remix
Rainy Day: A fellow rapper, named RedCloud, dad dies of a drug overdose. It is a song about growing up in a family ripped apart by drugs, sex, and money. A rainy day.
Draw Me: Draw me closer to you. Lord. Draw me, make my heart anew. You seem so far away. Guide me along today.
